Asset Groups

Asset Groups can be used to prevent this user from accessing DVIRs on Assets
and can be used to filter results of Inspection Reports.
To add a new asset group to the organization:

Click the Create New Asset Group button.
This displays the Asset Group Detail page.
- Enter a name for the asset group.

Click the Save button to save changes and return to the
Asset Groups list page.
Points to remember when adding a new asset group:

The asset group name must be unique within an Organization.
Uniqueness checking is case insensitive and
includes both deleted and non-deleted records.
To edit the name of an asset group already existing in the organization:

Locate the row in the table containing the asset group you wish to edit.

Click the Asset Group name link. This displays the Asset Group Detail page.
- Change the name of the asset group.

Click the Save button to save changes and return to the Asset Groups list page.
Asset groups may be deleted from the Asset Groups list page
(one or more asset groups at a time) or from the Asset Group Detail page
(one asset group at a time).
To delete one or more asset groups from the Asset Groups list:

Make sure the Display Deleted checkbox is NOT checked
so that only non-deleted asset groups show in the table.
- Locate the row(s) containing the asset group(s) you wish to delete.
- Check the checkbox to the left of each row.

Click the Delete button.
This deletes all the asset groups that you have selected.
To delete an asset group from the Asset Group Detail page:
- Click the Asset Group name link to display the detail page.

After the Asset Group Detail page is displayed, click the Delete button.
Points to remember when deleting an asset group:

You cannot delete an asset group if it has assets currently assigned to it or users
with asset group-specific access to it,
even if those assets or users have been deleted.
Asset groups may be restored from the Asset Groups list page
(one or more asset groups at a time) or from the Asset Group Detail page
(one asset group at a time).
To restore one or more asset groups from the Asset Groups list:

Check the Display Deleted checkbox to show the table with both
deleted and non-deleted asset groups.
- Locate the row(s) containing the asset group(s) you wish to restore.
- Check the checkbox to the left of each row.

Click the Restore button.
This restores all asset groups that you have selected.
To restore an asset group from the Asset Group Detail page:
- Click the Asset Group name link to display the detail page.

After the Asset Group Detail page is displayed, click the Restore button.
