Carriers

delete, or restore a carrier.
A carrier is a motor carrier to which drivers can be assigned. An organization can have multiple
carriers.
To add a new carrier to the organization:

Click the New button. This displays the Carrier Detail page.

Enter a Carrier Name.

Enter a USDOT# (if carrier operates within the US).

Enter the street Address of the carrier
(including the City, State or Province, and ZIP or Postal Code).

Click the Save button to save changes and return to the Carriers list page.
To edit the details of a carrier already existing in the organization:
- Locate the row containing the carrier you wish to edit.

Click the carrier name link. This displays the Carrier Detail page.
- Change the carriers' details.

Click the Save button to save changes and return to the Carriers list page.
Carriers may be deleted from the Carriers list page
(one or more carriers at a time) or from the
Carrier Detail page (one carrier at a time).
To delete one or more carriers from the Carriers list:
- Make sure the Show Deleted checkbox is NOT checked.

Click the View button.
This displays a table containing only non-deleted carriers.
- Locate the row(s) containing the carriers(s) you wish to delete.
- Check the checkbox to the left of each row.

Click the Delete button.
This deletes all the carriers that are currently selected.
To delete a carrier from the Carrier Detail page:
- Click on a carrier name to display the detail page.

After the Carrier Detail page is displayed, click the Delete button.
Points to remember when deleting a carrier:
-
You cannot delete a carrier if it has drivers currently assigned to it,
even if those drivers have been deleted.
Carriers may be restored from the Carrier list page
(one or more carriers at a time) or from the
Carrier Detail page (one carrier at a time).
To restore one or more carriers from the Carrier list:
- Check the Show Deleted checkbox.

Click the View button.
This displays a table containing both deleted and non-deleted carriers.
- Locate the row(s) containing the carriers(s) you wish to restore.
- Check the checkbox to the left of each row.

Click the Restore button.
This restores all carriers that are currently selected.
To restore a carrier from the Carrier Detail page:
- Click on a carrier name to display the detail page.

After the Carrier Detail page is displayed, click the Restore button.
The total number of carriers displayed in the table may be reduced
through the use of one or more page-specific filters.
The following page-specific filter options are provided:

Filter By text - Include only the carriers for which a particular
attribute begins with the text specified
To apply this filter:

Select an attribute (such as Carrier Name)
from the drop-down list.

Enter the desired text into the box.
OR
Choose the desired attribute from the provided drop-down list.
- Click the View button.
To clear this filter:
- Select None from the drop-down list.
- Click the View button.

Show Deleted items - Include deleted as well as non-deleted carriers
To include deleted carriers in your search:
- Check the Show Deleted checkbox.
- Click the View button.
To exclude deleted carriers from your search:
- Uncheck the Show Deleted checkbox.
- Click the View button.
Points to remember when using filters:

Multiple filters may be used in conjunction.
-
Text-based filtering is not case sensitive, and partial matches are returned.
For example, filtering by Carrier Name = CH or ch
may return carriers named Charleston, Chicago,
or Chula Vista.
